In this project, I focus on improving my mental wellbeing through design. As someone with ADHD, I constantly deal with an overflow of thoughts. I discovered that using sticky notes and handwriting helps me organize my thoughts and bring some order to my mind. However, the sticky notes were unorganized, lacked hierarchy, and didn’t fully meet my needs.
To enhance this experience, I developed separate digital writing units using E INK technology, which consumes very little power and displays text that looks like paper. I write content by hand using a digital pen on a main writing unit, which then transfers the information via NFC to the other writing units. This allows me to organize my thoughts in a way that matches my pace and changing needs.
The units are placed on a magnetic board mounted on the wall, with magnets arranged in a 3D structure to create a hierarchy between tasks. This system gives me a clear visual order, reduces cognitive load, and supports my personal wellbeing.
